## Summary

CO-LB-100 is an industrial DIN-rail gateway that monitors site import via an external meter, applies limits and priorities, and writes Modbus setpoints to supported DC fast chargers — fast enough to prevent overloads. Critical control stays on-site; cloud is optional.

## Where it sits

Between the grid connection / main meter and the DC chargers. Optional coordination with BESS and solar PV where interfaces exist.

## Control loop

1. **Measure site load** — Reads real-time power from the site main meter, including building loads.
2. **Read charger status** — Polls each DC fast charger over Modbus for status and active sessions.
3. **Apply limits and priorities** — Uses configured site, feeder, and group limits plus priority rules.
4. **Send setpoints** — Writes updated power setpoints to each charger, balancing active sessions.
5. **Monitor and fail over** — Follows defined fallback behavior if communication or hardware fails.
